Arunachal Minister Attends Spiritual Event in Gurugram

Arunachal Pradesh Transport Minister Ojing Tasing visited the Om Shanti Retreat Centre in Bohdakalan, Gurugram, to inaugurate a three-day national conference. The event, titled Pleasant Journey Through Rajyoga Meditation, was organised by the Transport and Travel Wing of the Brahma Kumaris institution to promote mental and physical well-being.
Minister Emphasizes Balance and Discipline
During the opening session, Minister Ojing Tasing stated that life becomes a pleasant journey only when there is a balance between the mind and body. He highlighted that the Brahma Kumaris institution teaches discipline, which brings restraint into one's life. The minister further noted that the core of Indian culture is the spiritual feeling that sees the entire world as one family. He also urged the institution to expand its spiritual outreach in the northeastern states and remarked on the improving peace and harmony in the region.
Role of Spirituality in Daily Life
Directors and speakers at the event shared insights on how spiritual practice influences daily living. Rajyogini Asha Didi mentioned that spirituality acts like oxygen, providing energy for life to move forward continuously. Rajyogini Divya Didi added that while the body's journey is limited, the mind travels constantly, and the regular practice of Rajyoga helps in keeping the mind calm and powerful. MMA fighter Ritu Phogat and social activist Rama Shankar Pandey also spoke about the positive impact of these practices on personal life and road safety awareness.
Promoting Spiritual Strength
Former national cricketer Hitesh Chaudhary emphasized that spiritual strength provides the right direction to human life in the current era. The event featured a ceremonial lamp lighting, cultural performances including dance and drama, and presentations by the national coordinator of the wing, BK Kavita. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by BK Sanjay Podwal to the transport experts and guests in attendance.
