Troops of the Indian Army and students in Agartala completed a four-day cleanliness campaign. The event took place from September 29 to October 2 at the Agartala Military Station as part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva movement.
The four-day initiative ended on October 2 with a massive outdoor cleaning event at the Albert Ekka War Memorial. Army personnel and students joined hands to clean the area and pay tribute to fallen soldiers. Volunteers also carried out a station-wide voluntary cleanliness drive across the entire garrison.
Army Public School students took part in many creative competitions during the campaign. Children made banners, painted posters, wrote essays on public health, and drew pictures of clean and green military stations. At the same time,
Army troops cleared waste, maintained green belts, and cleaned residential and operational areas. A defence spokesperson stated that building environmental responsibility in youth is very important.
