Amit Shah to Visit Siliguri for Kawakhali Event

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Siliguri to inaugurate a five-day awareness program at the Kawakhali ground. The event focuses on educating the public about the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and new criminal laws.

Security arrangements at the venue

Senior police officials have inspected the Kawakhali ground to finalize security measures ahead of the visit. ADG CM Security Manoj Verma and Siliguri Police Commissioner Syed Waquar Raza visited the site on Wednesday to review the arrangements. Prior to this, DGP Siddhinath Gupta also examined the venue to ensure all safety protocols are in place.

The official inauguration of the program will take place on August 21. Officials have reviewed entry and exit routes, parking facilities, and overall security protocols for the event.
