Adani Power is building a massive 3,200 MW thermal power project in Assam with an investment of Rs 48,000 crore. This project will become the largest power generation asset in the Northeast and will provide affordable electricity to households while supporting local industries.

Job Creation and Economic Growth

The project has already hired 4,500 local youth from Assam through multiple job drives. Jeet Adani stated that the group's businesses in Assam will generate around 40,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. Thousands of workers, engineers, and suppliers will be involved in building this large facility.

Broader Investments in Assam

The Adani Group is also developing Guwahati Airport City and investing in smart meters, cement, and connectivity. The total planned investment in the region reaches nearly Rs 80,000 crore, aiming to build high-quality infrastructure and create long-term value for local communities.
