Adani Group plans new projects in Assam

Adani Group is developing an aero-city in Guwahati and planning multiple new projects in Assam including power and cement.

Adani Airport Holdings Director Jeet Adani announced that the group is working on several major projects in Assam. The group is developing an aero-city near the new Guwahati airport terminal and plans pumped storage, cement, and maintenance projects.

New Power Plant in Dhubri

A new thermal power plant is coming up at Chapar in the Dhubri district with an investment of around Rs 48,000 crore. The 3,200 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant will have four 800 MW units. Construction is expected to generate up to 20,000 jobs and commission in phases from December 2030.

Investment and Education Plans

The group aims to cross Rs 1,00,000 crores in total investments across the Northeast region. Jeet Adani also stated that a Vidya Mandir School will be established near the power project site to provide free education to children.
