Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad staged a protest in front of the Siliguri police station following allegations of mental harassment and molestation of a female student by members of the Students Federation of India.
The protest was organized to demand immediate action and strict punishment against the accused individuals.
ABVP members also lodged an official FIR at the Siliguri police station regarding the incident.
ABVP has alleged that its workers are facing political violence and harassment across various educational institutions, ranging from Jadavpur University to AC College and Law College in Jalpaiguri of North Bengal.
The student organization stated that political violence and harassment of students inside educational institutions will not be tolerated.
ABVP has urged the police to conduct a fair and swift investigation and take strict legal action against the accused.
